JOIN US FOR OUR 13TH ANNUAL EMPTY BOWLS
Together we can fight hunger and offer hope to our neighbors in need.
October 16, 2020
5:30 - 8:00 PM
Floris United Methodist Church
13600 Frying Pan Road, Herndon
The Giving Circle of HOPE has hosted and organized Empty Bowls dinners every year since 2008 and has raised over $330,000 benefiting Food for Others, the largest food pantry in our region. We coordinate with sponsors and donors to provide handcrafted pottery bowls, delicious soups, artisanal breads and desserts along with entertainment, education and advocacy in a festive atmosphere.
Get involved by purchasing tickets, becoming a sponsor,
creating a food basket or volunteering at the event.
Join us for an evening of fellowship, delicious food and take home an artful bowl with the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to feed your neighbors facing food emergencies. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12 years of age.

VOLUNTEER AT THE EVENT
Please also consider volunteering for Empty Bowls. We need volunteers to help with soup pick up, to be a part of the kitchen team and to serve soup. There are also front of the house opportunities such as greeters, ticket/cashiers, assisting guests with pottery selection and manning the raffle table.

If you're interested in volunteering or if you'd like to find out more, please fill out the form below and you will contacted shortly.
FOOD CENTERPIECE BASKETS
A fun and creative way to get involved is to create a food basket centerpiece. The baskets are used as table and stage decoration and are donated to Food for Others at the end of the evening. Request a basket to fill or create one using your own basket or colorfully-wrapped box, fill it with nonperishable foods and bring your beautiful creation to the event after 12 PM (noon) on April 24. The most requested food items are canned meats, fruit, pasta and mac & cheese.
For more information, to request a basket or to arrange a drop-off or pick-up of a basket, please contact Joan Kasprowicz at joan.kasprowicz@gmail.com.
RAFFLE
For those who want to donate while trying their luck, there are many prizes up for grabs every year from entertainment to restaurants to beauty and so much more. Individual tickets are $5 or you may purchase three (3) tickets for $10. You can purchase ahead of time or the evening of Empty Bowls, however, you need not be present to win.
If you would like to make a raffle donation, please contact Cheryl Freeman cherylsfreeman@msn.com.
